These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of autosniff.com, our mobile apps, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by AutoSniff (“AutoSniff”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who we are & how to contact us
AutoSniff provides tools and insights to help users understand vehicles and related data.

2) Eligibility & account registration
- You must be at least the age of majority in your place of residence (18 in most countries) to use the Services.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
3) Permitted use & acceptable use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Access or use the Services in any manner that violates any law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Upload or transmit malware, spam, or harmful code; probe or test system vulnerabilities; attempt to bypass security or rate limits.
- Scrape, crawl, replicate, or frame the Services without our prior written consent.
- Use the Services to create a competing product or for benchmarking without permission.
- Misuse vehicle lookups or data; you must have a lawful basis (e.g., you own the vehicle or have permission) and you must not use the Services for credit, employment, insurance eligibility, tenancy screening, or other regulated decision-making.
We may impose or adjust fair-use and rate limits to ensure service quality for all users.
4) Vehicle information & no professional advice
AutoSniff provides information and tools for general informational purposes only. We do not provide mechanical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Vehicle data may be derived from third-party sources and could be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for how you use any information from the Services.
5) Subscriptions, fees & refunds (if applicable)
- Some features may require payment (one-time fees or subscriptions). Prices, features, and billing cycles will be shown at checkout.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel before renewal.
- Cancellations: You may cancel through your account or by contacting hello@autosniff.com (allow reasonable notice).
- Refunds: Except where required by law or where we expressly state otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period starts. If a refund is granted, it may be pro-rated at our discretion.
- Payments are processed by third-party processors; we don’t store full card details.
If you sell into specific jurisdictions with statutory cooling-off periods, ensure your checkout flow reflects those rights.
6) Intellectual property
- The Services (including text, graphics, logos, software, and data compilations) are owned by or licensed to AutoSniff and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business use.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Services except as expressly permitted.
7) User content & feedback
- You may submit content (e.g., reviews, images, comments) (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant AutoSniff a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, host, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display it to operate and improve the Services.
- You are responsible for your User Content and must have the necessary rights to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.
- If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.
8) Third-party services & links
The Services may integrate or link to third-party websites, data sources, or services (e.g., payment processors, analytics, vehicle data providers). Those are governed by their own terms and policies, and AutoSniff is not responsible for them.
9) Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices described there, including international transfers where applicable.
10) Availability, changes & beta features
- We aim to keep the Services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
- We may offer beta or experimental features that may be unstable and are provided “as is”.
11) Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that data will be accurate, complete, timely, or error-free.
12) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- AutoSniff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.
- Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to AutoSniff for the Services during that period, or (b) US$100 (or equivalent).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13) Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AutoSniff and its directors, officers, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
14) Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or used the Services in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity).
15) App stores (if using mobile apps)
If you download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play:
- Your use of the app must comply with the store’s terms.
- Apple/Google are not responsible for support or claims relating to the app.
- You acknowledge Apple/Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of these app-related terms.
16) Communications & notices
By creating an account, you consent to receive service-related emails (e.g., security alerts, transactional messages). You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time.
We may send legal notices by email to the address associated with your account.
17) Governing law & disputes
Unless a mandatory law in your country requires otherwise, these Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the UK/EEA or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence.
18) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when they were last updated. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., on the site or by email). Your continued use of the Services after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19) Other important terms
- Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Entire agreement: These Terms, along with any referenced policies (e.g., Privacy Policy), are the entire agreement between you and AutoSniff regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements.
